Lauren Ash Morgan, actress and member of SSC's board since 2011, is the founding co-artistic director for the newly formed theatre company Speech of Fire. She worked as the Artistic director for Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 through the year 2019. She was also the producer, costume/set designer, composer/musician as well as a text coach for SSC while she served as its Artistic Director. The last year of her tenure, she was a lighting designer and director for the production of SSC's King Lear. She had been directing from the ensemble however, in the last season she made her directorial debut.
